Cochran has historically had a strong presence in South Africa; this has been recently revived and strengthened through our recent tie up with Steam Generation Africa (Pty) Ltd. Steam Generation is based in Johannesburg and have a strong background in the design and installation of boiler houses throughout Southern Africa.
A formal agreement was signed during a recent visit to Annan. John Rundle (Managing Director) and Chris Erasmus (Operations Director) of Steam Generation also took the opportunity to inspect boilers currently being manufactured for three current projects and to meet many of the Cochran team.

John said “In our work we have
regularly come across Cochran boilers in South Africa; they have a strong
reputation for their quality and robust design and we are delighted to have the
opportunity to work together to grow and strengthen both our companies position
in the Southern African market. As well as South Africa we shall be promoting
Cochran boilers in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique,
Angola, Botswana and Namibia.
Mark Smith, Regional Manager added
“We believe Southern Africa offers excellent opportunity for Cochran and we
carefully evaluated possible partners before selecting Steam Generation as the
best fit. We believe that John’s team are well placed to provide his, and our,
customers with a high level of support. As well as sales they can provide
design, installation and service support to the standards that Cochran wish to
provide in UK”
