On June 2nd 2018, the new distillery at The Macallan launched the Edrington brand into an exciting new era. This development is spectacular and has created a local legacy for many generations to share. We are proud to say that we were involved from its infancy through their contractor Forsyths, liaising local man Neil Shanks.
In October 2017, we completed Commissioning of the two x 15,880 kg/hr boilers complete with Equinox Burners and our Synergy control system as well providing them the 30,000 litre hotwell tank, size 7 blowdown vessel and flues to suit all.

As part of Cochran’s recent successes in supplying new boilers into Hong Kong we have recently undertaken two training sessions for our Hong Kong customers. Steven Johnstone visited Hong Kong and undertook training for Hong Kong Towngas engineers and technicians. Towngas has recently installed and commissioned six Cochran boilers at various sites and requested training to enhance the support it can provide to their customers. The programme included classroom theory and practical hands on training at site. Steven was assisted by Cochran’s Hong Kong based engineer, TK Cheung, in delivering the training.
